Solar Energy Project for Farms – Al-Aflaj, Saudi Arabia
In pursuit of sustainability and reducing operational costs in the agricultural sector, an integrated solar energy project was implemented at Mr. Abu Saad’s farm in Al-Aflaj Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project aims to supply the farm with its electricity needs through an off-grid solar energy system to ensure complete independence in energy provision.
Solar Energy Project for Farms
Location: Al-Aflaj,
Saudi Arabia
Sector: Agriculture
System capacity: 120 kW peak
Inverter capacity: 160 kVA
System type: Off-grid
Expected annual production: 240,000 kWh
Reduction in carbon dioxide emissions: 168,000 kg per year
Total system capacity: 120 kW peak
Thanks to this system, the farm will be able to rely on a clean and sustainable energy source, which enhances the efficiency of agricultural operations and reduces the need for traditional diesel generators and their associated high operational costs and periodic maintenance.
In addition to the economic benefits, the project significantly contributes to environmental conservation by reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 168,000 kilograms annually, which is equivalent to planting thousands of trees annually to offset carbon emissions.
It is worth noting that all products used in this project, from solar panels and inverters to mounting and connection systems, are products of Shaheen Al-Oula Energy Company, which reflects the company’s commitment to providing integrated solutions of high quality that ensure efficiency and reliability in the long term.
The Abu Saad farm project does not merely represent a solar power station, but rather a success story and practical experience that highlights Shahen Al-Oula’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and providing sustainable solutions that align with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030 towards a future more dependent on renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions
